Russian Twist — Points to Check Today
- Twist with your abs, not your lower back — Focus on using your obliques. (Just swinging the arms side to side)
- Maintain your torso lean — Holding the leaned-back angle keeps your abs under tension. (The torso straightening upright as you twist)
- Controlled tempo — Fast, jerky momentum strains the lower back. (Swinging fast with momentum and straining the lower back)
Russian Twist — How to Do It / If You're New

- Bring your hands together or hold a weight (plate or dumbbell) and brace your core.
